The luxury Italian brand was the official jewellery sponsor of the Goodwood Festival

Luxury jewellery brand Buccellati added a touch of Italian flair to proceedings at the Qatar Goodwood Festival over the weekend.

Buccellati Sponsors Goodwood Festival

Italian fine jewellery house Buccellati sponsors Goodwood Festival for the second year in a row as its official jewellery partner, as well as the title patron of The Buccellati Handicap Stakes. It’s a fitting partnership, as Goodwood attracts not only the best racehorses, jockeys and trainers from all over the world, but also a dazzling selection of celebrities and the international jet set, making it an ideal collaboration for luxury brand Buccellati.

A bespoke silver trophy designed by Andrea Buccellati was awarded to the winning owner of The Buccellati Handicap Stakes, which was unveiled and displayed in the Buccellati Box alongside an array of one-of-a-kind jewellery and silverware creations.

Silver creations from the jeweller’s Opera Collection were awarded to the winning trainer and jockey, and a traditional photo frame was presented to the groom of the winning horse. Luca Buccellati and Buccellati London’s Managing Director, Lord Bruce Dundas, also hosted a selection of guests over three days within the Buccellati box.

‘Buccellati, since it was founded in 1919, has remained true to its origins in creating high quality and creative handmade jewellery,’ said The Duke of Richmond, who owns Goodwood. ‘We are delighted to welcome them as the Official Jewellery Partner of Goodwood Racecourse for the pinnacle of our horse racing season, the Qatar Goodwood Festival.’

The jeweller also sponsored Eleanor Franchitti, Global Head of Business Development at Caxton Associates and wife of former racing driver Dario Franchitti, to ride in the 2024 Magnolia Cup. This is a charity race that sees novice female equestrians compete after several months of intense training in Newmarket, with all proceeds going to My Sisters’ House, which works with women to improve their welfare and wellbeing, reduce their risk of domestic abuse and support recovery, and help them reach their goals for employment, education or training. Eleanor came in fifth in this year’s Magnolia Cup.
