(We) Try before you buy.
There can be a lot of noise in the beauty space: ‘try this, buy that, plump, exfoliate, hydrate, rebalance, buy natural, buy science-led, reduce, add’, and so on, until it’s impossible to know what we should be investing in. But first and foremost, beauty should be about feeling good. Let’s focus on products and innovations that can help give us an instant boost or a long-term pick-me-up. In our regularly-updated beauty luxury list we’ll be highlighting new skincare, makeup, body and wellness products, plus trusted favourites. It’s not about needing them, it’s about wanting them.

Jerome Russell
Bblonde Color Bomb, £14.99
Looking for a way to keep your colour rich and healthy looking between appointments? The Jerome Russell Bblonde range is a colour depositing conditioning mask that nourishes hair while adding a subtle (or bold, if you opt for the red or violet hues) warming or cooling tone. The brand’s Key Opinion Leader Jason Collier https://www.instagram.com/hairbyjasoncollier/ gave us a first-hand try at his lovely inclusive salon space in Shoreditch.
Revision Skincare
YouthFull Lip Replenisher, £42
A true skincare solution for your lips, this Revision Skincare formula promises to volumise, define, hydrate, and soothe lips, while defending against environmental stressors. Hyaluronic Acid provides immediate hydration, plumping lips and smoothing lines. It’s the perfect on-the-go hydrator.
Cowshed
Sleep Bath Salts, £24
Struggling to sleep? Work on a pre-bedtime routine that works for you and try and stick to it. For some, that means a relaxing bath, which we recommend upgrading with Cowshed’s Himalayan sleep bath salts, with lavender and chamomile. Infused with St John’s Wort, yarrow, and linden flower extract, the salts are made with 100% vegetarian ingredients and are free from parabens, mineral oils, and silicones. They’ll leave your bathroom smelling like a spa, too.
Dior
Forever Glow Star Filter, £45
Trialled as part of our tried & tested skin tints feature, and a real game-changer, this Dior ‘Star Filter’ is the all-over radiance booster that gives you an instant glow. Wear on its own for no-makeup-makeup days, or layer under your usual foundation or tinted moisturiser for a more radiant complexion.
La Mer
The Night Recovery Concentrate, £590
You know when your skin is just having a moment? Whether you’re post-treatment and your skin needs some downtime, or you’re suffering from irritation, redness or inflammation, La Mer’s Night Recovery Concentrate is that hero cure-all you can rely on to calm everything down and restore your skin’s barrier and hydration levels overnight. Containing the brand’s signature miracle broth, it feels like a bit of a miracle cure, really.

A timeless classic, this Elemis balm is the quickest way to transform your everyday cleansing ritual into a spa-worthy experience. Massage into the skin and allow it to melt into an oil to remove all the tough traces of daily dirt and makeup, before it turns into a foaming milk on contact with the water. Use with a hot cloth for the ultimate indulgence. We recently spoke to Jessica Hawkins, Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Driver Ambassador and Head of F1 Academy, who named this as her favourite product.
