STAY

From the moment you step inside Bulgari Hotel Tokyo, the Italian brand’s signature aesthetic takes centre stage: sleek lines, rich marbles, and a warm, understated palette that feels both contemporary and timeless. Designed by ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the interiors mirror the brand’s DNA, with high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and plush Italian furnishings from the likes of B&B Italia and Maxalto.

The 98 rooms and suites, among the largest in Tokyo, offer a cocoon of quiet luxury. Modern Italian sensibility is layered with elegant  Japanese touches like the hand-painted gold ceilings and bed throws by Kyoto kimono textile producer, Hosoo. The Bulgari Suite, a sprawling 400-square-metre retreat, is the crown jewel — an apartment-style space with its own dining room, bar, and a terrace overlooking Mount Fuji on a clear day.

DO

Positioned in the financial district, Bulgari Hotel Tokyo is just steps from the designer boutiques of Ginza, the Imperial Palace gardens, and the neon-lit buzz of Nihonbashi. But for those who prefer to stay put, there’s plenty on offer.

The Bulgari Spa is a sanctuary in the sky: 1,000 square metres of serene indulgence, with a stunning 25-metre indoor pool lined with emerald green mosaic tiles. Treatments fuse Japanese and Mediterranean influences, using Bulgari’s own skincare line alongside traditional therapies. For fitness enthusiasts, the gym is as chic as it is high-tech, with Technogym equipment and panoramic city views.

EAT

Dining here is just as exceptional as the setting. Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, helmed by the three-Michelin-starred Italian chef, brings a refined simplicity to Italian cuisine, with dishes like the Vitello Tonnato and spaghetti alle vongole that highlight the purity of ingredients.

For lighter bites, The Lounge serves afternoon tea with a Japanese twist, while the Bulgari Bar is where Tokyo’s elite sip cocktails against a glittering cityscape. Try the Tokyo Negroni, a sophisticated take on the classic, infused with local botanicals, before heading to Sushi Hōseki. Here, the intimate eight-seat omakase restaurant, offers a culinary journey led by Chef Takuro Shimizu, who uses only the finest most seasonal ingredients, from the  akami, chutoro and otoro nigiri to the chawanmushi.
