You Can Now Stay In A Villa Overlooking House Of The Dragon's High Tide Castle

The latest installment of House of the Dragon may have reached a dramatic end, but the fun isn’t over just yet – while you anxiously wait for season 3, you can book in at Ednovean House, a six-bedroom holiday home overlooking St Michael’s Mount in Cornwall, better known to fans as High Tide Castle, the seat of the Velaryon family on the isle of Driftmark. Here’s the rundown.

If you’re in the mood for an island getaway this summer, forgo Crete and Mallorca and head to House of the Dragon’s Driftmark instead – or as close as you can get, which happens to be on the west coast of Cornwall. Book a stay at Ednovean House in Perranuthnoe and you can enjoy picture-perfect views of St Michael’s Mount, a 12th century medieval church which served as High Tide castle (the ancestral seat of the Velaryon family, and the home of Lord Corlys and Princess Rhaenys).

The property itself serves up 21st century luxury rather than the hewn stone and echoing halls of Dragonstone and the Red Keep. You can expect a sprawling living room featuring charming window seats and an open fire, and a breathtaking open plan kitchen/dining room which can seat up to 14 guests. Towering glass doors open onto a sweeping patio and gorgeous landscaped gardens, so you can dine al fresco (and enjoy those dazzling views).

Of course, you’ll want to tear yourself away from the TV to explore the area, and there’s plenty to see: Perranuthnoe Beach is a 10 minute walk away, an ideal starting point if you want to join the South West Coath Path and hike towards Praa Sands and Porthleven. This is the path you’ll need to take if you want to visit the all-important St Michael’s Mount – just make sure to head over at low tide.
