The best kept secret in the capital
Mayfair is members’ club territory – but how, exactly, do you distinguish between them? If you’re looking for something ultra-exclusive, you can’t get much better than Maison Estelle, which is so exclusive it’s barely on the map. Read on to find out more…
Maison Estelle: London’s Most Exclusive Address
What Is Maison Estelle?
Maison Estelle is a private members’ club occupying a Grade I-listed Georgian townhouse on Grafton Street in Mayfair. It was established by Sharan Parischa, the founder of Ennismore – an entrepreneurial collective behind brands including the Hoxton hotel chain.
While all members’ clubs operate at a base level of exclusivity, this one really is at the top. No photography is allowed inside, and no imagery of the club is circulated, either; the focus is on discretion and top-notch, personalised service, meaning that most members certainly won’t be shouting about it.
The sister property to Maison Estelle is Estelle Manor, a hotel and private country club within a Grade II-listed landmark house on a 60-acre estate in Oxfordshire.
Facilities
Inside Maison Estelle’s handsome building you’ll find sumptuous lounges, a library and even a retail space. There are multiple eateries, from an all-day brasserie to a fine dining restaurant, plus a roof terrace and even a nightclub. Members can enjoy a roster of social events as well as networking opportunities.
Maison Estelle Membership
As you might imagine, it isn’t particularly easy to become a member of this glitzy club. The policy is strict: prospective members must give employment details and provide a current member of the club to act as their proposer. It really is a who-you-know kind of world, it seems.
