Review: The Marylebone Hotel, London

STAY

When it comes to location, The Marylebone Hotel is hard to beat. Famed for its village-like atmosphere, with indie cafes, high-end fashion stores, and even farmers’ markets, you also have access to the bustle of London with Oxford Street and Regent Street just around the corner. After a busy day of shopping and seeing the sights you can sink into one of the many cosy nooks back at the hotel, slink into a booth for a cuppa in the 108 Brasserie or burn off that leftover adrenaline in the Third Space Gym and pool. (Just be prepared to join the masses of fitness-loving commuters in the morning.)

Although each of the 257 rooms possess the cosy yet contemporary aesthetics you’d expect from a luxury London hotel, the pièce de résistance is the Terrace Suite. If you’re looking to elevate your stay (pun intended), this suite is truly something special as it feels like your own private penthouse in the middle of London, complete with a sprawling terrace offering jaw-dropping views of the city skyline. There’s even a retractable roof and working fire, making it enjoyable year-round.

DO

Over the next few months, Marylebone is brimming with events. For the art lovers, the Wallace Collection – just a 10-minute walk from the hotel – has several exciting exhibitions planned. There’s also the Marylebone Farmers’ Market, which runs every Sunday, is a must-visit for anyone who loves artisanal foods and fresh produce.

EAT

Foodies rejoice – you’re spoilt for choice in Marylebone Village. Whether you’re after a morning croissant or a Michelin-starred dinner, Marylebone’s got you covered. For something more casual, Marylebone Village is full of gems. Pop into La Fromagerie for cheese-laden platters or head to Rococo Chocolates for sweet treats that are almost too pretty to eat. If you’re craving pasta, Orrery serves delicious authentic Italian dishes with a side of rooftop views.

Sunday roasts don’t get much better at The Golden Eagle while The Grazing Goat is great for a more refined gastro-pub vibes. At the centre of it all is The Marylebone Hotel, home to the fabulous 108 Brasserie. This spot is perfect for everything from relaxed brunches to stylish dinners and their new Jazz Brunch is a must-try – think Champagne, live music, endless antipasti, and desserts aplenty – it’s the kind of place where you’ll lose track of time in the best possible way.
