A seafood experience like no other

After featuring on Great British Menu and working with Rick Stein, Michelin-starred chef Nathan Outlaw knows a thing or two about exceptional cooking – and exceptional seafood, to be exact. So it’s no surprise that he’s partnering with luxury cruise line, Cunard, to launch a four-voyage residency next year (following a recent announcement that Michel Roux will also be bringing Le Gavroche to four of Cunard’s Fjords voyages in 2025). Intrigued? Here’s the rundown.

Nathan Outlaw Launches Culinary Residency With Cunard

If there’s one thing that Nathan Outlaw nails, it’s seafood. Nestled in the picture-perfect Cornish town of Port Isaac, his restaurants are brimming with coastal charm: take the Fish Kitchen, a harbourside spot inhabiting a 15th century fisherman’s cottage, and Outlaw’s New Road, which offers an elevated seafood concept and stunning sea views. (There’s Outlaw’s Guest House, too, which provides a gorgeous spot to rest your head in between visits to both of the aforementioned eateries.) With all of this in mind, a cruise ship residency seems like a no-brainer for Nathan – and his Fish Kitchen is officially launching on select Cunard trips in 2025.

So, what exactly will the new residency involve? To experience it for yourself, you’ll need to book a spot on one of four Mediterranean voyages undertaken by Cunard’s Queen Victoria ship next year, when Nathan will personally oversee a series of intimate, five-course seafood tasting menus. These 60-guest dining events will, naturally, showcase the very finest seafood, using fresh Mediterranean ingredients as the basis for every dish.

Alongside his time in the kitchen, Nathan will serve as an Insight Speaker at the ship’s Royal Court Theatre, leading a set of Q&As focused on his rise to culinary stardom. For guests looking for a more hands-on experience, he will also be hosting live cooking demonstrations, so there are plenty of opportunities to immerse yourself in the culinary world – all from the comfort of a luxury Cunard ship with the Mediterranean coast as a backdrop. What could be better?

The four-voyage series will kick off on 7 July 2025 aboard a 14-night trip from Barcelona to Civitavecchia, Rome, with Nathan sailing on the first seven nights of the voyage. Subsequent voyages will take place in August and September. For more information, visit cunard.com
