Where Is The Fortune Hotel Filmed?

The Fortune Hotel was filmed at Silversands Grenada at Grand Anse, a luxurious beachside hotel on one of the Caribbean’s most southern islands.

‘We took over the entire resort and I got to have a very nice suite without having to pay for it,’ says presenter Stephen Mangan. ‘The presidential suite, which was bigger than my house, it took me four minutes to walk from one side of the living room to the other, it was that big. I had a balcony that looked over the ocean which was west facing so every night we got a view of the sunset and sunsets in the Caribbean are incredible.’

The contestants were also pretty impressed by the resort. Jae, who entered with her best friend Cherish, says: ‘Having the beach right on our doorstep was beautiful, waking up to that every morning was phenomenal.’ Meanwhile Tracey, who entered with her daughter Abbie, says ‘the hotel was top dollar, we were treated like royalty.’

Will adds, ‘Staying in that resort was just incredible; it was unlike anything I’d ever seen before,’ while his mum Jo-Anne commented: ‘I felt so lucky to be in the Caribbean. What a stunning part of the world – we will never forget it.’

Can You Visit?

Yes, Silversands Grenada is a functioning hotel open to visitors year-round. The light-filled rooms are beautifully furnished, designed by Paris-based architecture practice AW2 with modern decor, floor-to-ceiling windows, pale oak panelling, Calacatta marble, white walnut floors and modern art on the walls from the owner’s private collection. Some villas are perched right on the Grand Anse beach with their very own swimming pools, and the resort is home to an Espa spa for indulgent treatments. Elsewhere, guests can splash around in the hotel’s 100 metre long pool – the longest in the Caribbean – or enjoy paddle boards and kayaks on the turquoise ocean.

Silversands

All of this is to say Silversands Grenada is a very beautiful hotel. It’s so beautiful, in fact, it’s one of our favourite hotels in the Caribbean.
