The Easter Table Decor Ideas For Easter 2025
Pastel Tablescapes
Pastels? For spring? It isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s guaranteed to impress.
‘The easiest way to incorporate pastels – without having to buy new glassware, crockery or cutlery – is to invest in some seasonal linens,’ advises Rachel Kiss from hospitality experts Alliance Online. ‘A pastel tablecloth and napkins will instantly create a sense of occasion; plus, you can make use of them for years to come. To get more into the Easter spirit, you can even set your napkins to look like bunny ears, simply by tying them with yarn.’
Mismatched Crockery
Who says you need to invest in brand new (and Easter-specific) decor for the perfect table setting? According to Rachel, quirky, vintage style will always be a winner.
‘Mismatched glassware creates that Alice in Wonderland look that goes perfectly with an Easter lunch,’ she notes. ‘Bring out what you already have and go for a variety of shapes, sizes and colours: think goblets, wine glasses, cocktail glasses and even mason jars.’
‘Spring is all about bringing fresh energy to the table,’ adds Paul Firmin, co-founder of Earl of East. ‘We love layering natural textures with pops of colour.’ Finish with ‘seasonal citrus, simple glassware, and linen’ for an ‘effortless but elevated’ look.
Earthy Finishes
If pastels aren’t your thing, try embracing a rustic finish instead.
‘Easter styling doesn’t have to feel overly themed,’ says Chloe Barrow, interior expert at Laura James. ‘For elevated Easter interiors, consider a naturally uplifting palette of soft greens, creamy whites, and earthy browns – but if you’re craving more colour, I would recommend adding subtle touches of butter yellow as a nod to traditional Easter colour schemes.’
‘The rustic theme compliments traditional Easter motifs and colours perfectly,’ echoes Rachel. ‘Natural elements like wood and greenery tie perfectly into Easter as a celebration of spring, renewal and new beginnings.’
Seasonal Centrepieces
Bring a bit of spring joy to your table using a variety of seasonal flowers. ‘My favourite floral arrangement tends to feature white tulips and buttery soft yellow daffodils, complemented by sprigs of wild greenery,’ Chloe reflects. ‘If you’re having a sit-down meal, placing a smaller version of the centrepiece (or even a single bloom) at each setting will add a beautiful touch of personalisation which guests will remember. Pair these floral elements with natural, wood-toned textures, such as soft linen napkins, to create the perfect balance of neutrals and soft spring colour.’
Handcrafted Touches
‘A spring table should feel fresh, joyful, and effortlessly put together,’ says Libs Nicholls, founder of Domestic Science. ‘I love using egg candles and paper decorations to add a whimsical nod to Easter, perfect for a relaxed yet considered setting. Mix textures, play with heights, and let natural light do the rest!’
‘Consider incorporating real eggs, which can be delicately painted, decorated, and arranged in twig nests or simply placed alongside moss elements,’ adds Chloe. ‘These eggs serve as a fun touch, as you can decorate the shells in any style you like, tailoring them to the overall aesthetic of your tablescape.’
For a truly showstopping decoration, hang your painted eggs on elegant spring branches and fashion your very own Easter tree. ‘Decorative trees aren’t just confined to the Christmas period,’ states Shelley Cochrane, accessories buyer at Furniture Village. ‘A simple wooden tree or a small cluster of branches can be styled throughout the year to reflect the current season.’
Yellow Accents
Whether you’re hosting al fresco or sticking to an indoor gathering, gold and yellow accents are guaranteed to level up the look.
‘Making the switch from cool-toned table accessories to gold pieces can instantly elevate an Easter table,’ says Chloe. Gold cutlery is particularly on-trend, but for a more subtle approach, simply add a touch of yellow or even gold leaf to painted eggs, placecards, and handwritten menus.
‘Leaning into the butter yellow trend, placing yellow tapered candles in gold holders will add height and dimension to the table – even when unlit,’ Chloe continues. ‘To go the extra mile, I love the concept of adding butter yellow ribbons to the back of chairs.’
