Gifting tips for the fire sign

Do you keep track of your star sign? Whether you believe in it or not, astrology can say more about you and your preferences than you think. And with Sagittarius season coming up, we’re taking a deep dive into this star sign’s personal style (and how you can find them the perfect piece of jewellery).

The Country & Town House Responsible Buyers’s Guide

With a birthday sitting between 22 November and 21 December, Sagittarius is one of four fire signs in the astrological table. ‘Fire signs are active and favour small pieces that won’t get in the way of their activities,’ says celebrity psychic Inbaal Honigman. ‘This fun-loving, adventurous sign likes to clash styles, colours and themes. Their aesthetic rules are that there are no rules.

So how does this sense of style translate to jewellery? ‘Those born under the sign of the Archer love to laugh loudly and share food and good times,’ explains Inbaal. ‘They enjoy accessorising boldly, with a noisy bracelet stack that’s as irreverent as their sense of humour.’

Jewellery For Your Star Sign: Sagittarius

Which Stone Represents Sagittarius?

The main stones associated with Sagittarius are turquoise and blue topaz, but there are plenty of others that can be incorporated into this sign’s jewellery box:

  • Tanzanite
  • Amethyst
  • Citrine
  • Lapis Lazuli
  • Labradorite

It’s thought that wearing stones linked to your star sign can not only make you feel good, but also tap into the qualities that enhance your overall attractiveness. ‘When you dress with things that match the energy of your star sign, you’ll find sometimes these designs will compliment you physically,’ confirms Arwa Hassan, in-house style director at jewellery label PRYA. ‘You may know that there’s a traditional birthstone associated with each month of the year, but did you know that there’s other pieces of jewellery that could enhance your star sign qualities and personal style?’

‘The brightest shades – like fuchsia – bring a Sagittarius joy,’ notes Inbaal. ‘A pink howlite is as joyful as they are.’

And with Sagittarius being a star sign that values adventurous, maximalist styles, they’ll want something that reflects their mix-and-match approach. ‘They can pair the calming vibes of howlite gemstones with a chunky bracelet stack for a bold yet serene statement,’ recommends Arwa.
